Back in the 70s, of course, women were beginning to make strides in climbing the career ladder. Their suits tended to be very formal, yet with feminine touches. Here is a great example of a retro women's career suit, in a copper and sapphire blue plaid fabric - a fabric pattern usually found in men's suits...but with feminine waist length jacket, and a pleated skirt with a very narrow waist to define the figure.
